TN-EPPC (Tennessee Exotic Pest Plant Council) is hosting a free community workshop on invasive plants in Nashville, TN, Nov. 10, 2012 at Warner Park Nature Center from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The workshop is open to anyone interesting in learning to identify and control exotic invasive plants – homeowners, private and public land managers, state and municipal workers. Talks will address identification, control techniques, native plant alternatives, and information sources. Speakers include Mike Berkley, GroWild, Lee Patrick, Invasive Plant Control, and Paul Fowler, Friends of Warner Parks. There will be displays, handouts, and door prizes, plus an afternoon field trip on park grounds. Please bring lunch. Anyone interesting in attending is asked to register at (615) 880-2237.
