These are just a few of the events on our calendar in the next few weeks:

10 June 2014Wilson County Master Gardener Executive Board Meeting is held at the UT/TSU Extension Office at 925 E. Baddour Pkwy., Suite 100, in Lebanon TN. All WCMG members are welcome.

21 June 2014 – Flower & Vegetable Container Gardening Class at Town Hall in Fiddlers Grove at 10:00 am. Space is limited so please let Marianne know if you wish to attend by emailing her at breezin1usa@yahoo.com.

25 June 2014 – Wildflower Hike at Cedars of Lebanon State Park with Justin Stefanski and Linda Robertson. Meet at the Extension Office at 9:00 AM. Bring camera, bug spray, hiking boots, bottled water and a snack. Call or email Justin for more details: 444-9584 or jstefans@utk.edu

22 May 2014 – TAUD Lunch by the Wilson County Extension. TAUD is the Tennessee Alliance of Utility Districts. We serve over 1000 people lunch and this serves as the primary fundraiser for Wilson County Extension. We will need at least 10-15 volunteers to help out at the Fairgrounds, mainly in the East/West and Education Buildings, and at the 4-H Chicken Shack located behind the Education Bldg. 27 May 2014 – Demo Garden at Fiddlers Grove Preparation Day. Meet at the garden at 9:00 AM. Bring shovels, rakes, wheelbarrow, and bottled water.

31 May 2014 – How Not To Kill A Tree Workshop w/ Carol Walenga at 10:00 AM in the Bernard School Exhibit Building at the James Ward Agricultural Center. The workshop is free and the public is invited.

03 June 2014 – Wilson County Master Gardener meeting at 6:30 PM in the Education Building. The dinner theme will be southwestern fare, including Mexican food. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Nate Phillips from TSU speaking on Vegetative Propagation Techniques..
