These are just a few of the events on our calendar in the next few weeks:

1 July – WCMG Member meeting / The Vanderbilt Arboretum

at 6:30 PM in the Education Building, James E. Ward Ag. Center, 945 East Baddour Parkway, Lebanon TN 37087.  Our guest speaker will be Dr. Stephen Baskauf, presenting The Vanderbilt Arboretum – History and Noteworthy Trees.

Dr. Baskauf is a Senior Lecturer in Biological Sciences at Vanderbilt University, Director of the Vanderbilt Bioimages Project, and chronicler and webmaster for the Vanderbilt Arboretum. He will fill us in on the history of the famous arboretum that is the Vanderbilt campus and tell us about some remarkable trees it contains. As a bonus, Dr. Baskauf will treat us to a guided tour of the arboretum on Saturday, July 12 at 9 am!

8 July – WCMG Executive Board meeting

at 6:30 PM, in the UT/TSU Extension Office, 925 East Baddour Parkway, Suite 100, Lebanon, TN 37087. All WCMG members are welcome.

19 July – Tree Identification Class (FREE & open to public)

at 10:00 AM in the Town Hall Building, James E. Ward Ag. Center, 945 East Baddour Parkway, Lebanon TN 37087. Seating is limited so contact Marianne Pelletier at breezin1usa@yahoo.com to reserve your spot.
