Some are open to the public and some are for Master Gardeners and interns only. 3 February – WCMG Meeting with Troy B. Marden
Come hear Troy B. Marden (host of The Volunteer Gardener on PBS) discuss what to plant, and not plant, in our gardens. Troy will be signing copies of his latest book Plant This Instead. We eat at 6:00 PM and the program starts at 7:30 in the Education Building, James E. Ward Ag. Center, 945 East Baddour Parkway, Lebanon TN 37087.
Admission is $5.00, the public and guests are invited. Tickets are available at the extension office beginning January 10.

at 6:30 PM in the Education Building, James E. Ward Ag. Center, 945 East Baddour Parkway, Lebanon TN 37087. Our guest speaker will be Carl Wayne Hardeman is a Shelby County Master Gardener. He is founder of the Collierville Farmers Market and cofounder of the Collierville Victory Garden. (The Victory Garden is the topic of his presentation at our June meeting). His interests are soil, veggies, zinnias, carnivorous plants and sustainable practices. Carl lives with his wife Mimi and her pomapoo Belle, in Collierville. He calls his backyard garden Speckled Bean Farms. Retired from FedEx, he now writes gardening columns for several publications and feels blessed to give talks on gardening. He counts Wilson County Master Gardener Whit Whitaker as a beloved mentor.

22 July – Farm Field Day

Events include: pest identification, vegetable gardening, bees and pollinators, Integrated Pest Management, greenhouses and high tunnels, and irrigation systems. The Tennessee Urban Forestry Council annual conference will be held in Memphis Tennessee. Mark your calendars now. Details to follow.
