The Wilson County Master Gardeners would like to take an opportunity to thank some very special people who have supported our annual Spring Festival this year and in years past. There are so many of our members who help to make the festival a success each year. But just as important are those non-member individuals and groups who support us in our hosting of this festival each year.
From the James E Ward Ag Center Office, we would like to thank Donna Bane for helping us to secure meeting space for planning meetings and even more importantly for reserving the venue space for the festival itself. Also, Donna ensured that the Ag Center marquis contained a posting of our event with as much information as possible to increase public awareness. Also from the Ag Center Office we want to thank Leslie for being our Trolley Driver year after year. What a wonderful addition to our festival each year. You never see someone stepping off the trolley that doesn’t have a smile on his or her face!
From the Wilson County Fair Office, we would like to thank Helen McPeak and her staff for their year-round support of the Wilson County Master Gardeners. Helen has been one of our biggest supporters of the festival and has been willing to help us with whatever we need to be successful. We look forward to continuing to partner with the Wilson County Fair Office and the Fiddlers Grove Association as we make plans for future events.
In addition to the above mentioned folks, we would also like to thank Adam Meadors with the Mt Juliet Storm Water Office for his very generous contribution of a $25.00 Lowes gift card for our giveaway baskets which are such a popular feature of our event each year. We also want to thank Louise Zepp with the Tennessee Conservationist for ensuring that the article written by WCMG member Flo Moore highlighting the spring festival got published in their magazine. Needham’s Nursery also deserves a very big thank you for the beautiful plant specimen used in the Bonsai demonstration during the festival this year. Finally but certainly not least, we want to thank Wilson County Bank & Trust for their continued support of our festival by posting our event on many of the bank marquis and also for providing the swag bags again this year.
Obviously there are so many more people who help to make this event such a success year after year. For those not mentioned specifically, we wish to extend our thanks and appreciation for all of your support.
