9 August 2015 – It can get too hot for gardeners but not too hot for the multitude of butterflies in our Cedars of Lebanon butterfly garden. We have had an abundance of Pipevine Swallowtails, Spicebush Swallowtails, Eastern Tiger Swallowtails, Sulphurs, Skippers, Black Swallowtails & Giant Swallowtails. All putting on a show for visitors to the garden these last two months. Butterfly pictured is Orange Sulphur on host plant Senna.
12 July 2015 – In the Cedars of Lebanon Butterfly Garden there were Pipevine Swallowtails, Giant Swallowtails, Silvery Checkerspots, & Sulphers all enjoying sweet nectar on a hot summer’s day.

8 September 2014 – Pipevine Swallowtail laying eggs on pipevine at the Cedars of Lebanon State Park butterfly garden in Lebanon, TN.
Giant Swallowtail caterpillar & net bags over common milkweed.
15 monarch cats made chrysalis. This generation of butterfly will migrate back to Mexico. This seems to be a late breeding season for pipevine swallowtails and giant swallowtails.
