The following photos were taken during the pruning workshop conducted by our UT/TSU Extension Agent Justin Stefanski. About 30 Wilson County Master Gardeners, Interns and friends gathered at the home of our gracious hosts Faye and Charles Huddleston on Friday morning, 14 February 2014. It was a beautiful, crisp morning–perfect for working in the garden– and what a garden it was. Faye and Charles have a gorgeous place which also happens to be a Certified Century Farm.
Justin spent over two hours discussing pruning tools, timing and techniques, with hands on demonstrations of how to trim peach, nectarine, plum, apple and pear trees, raspberry and blackberry canes, grape vines, and rose bushes.
